All Things Lashes
There are so many different lash treatments offered these days, from lash lifts to Russian lashes. But what is the difference between them all?
We looked into all the different lash services to help you understand them and decide what's best suited for you.
Lash Lift and Tint.
So, what is a lash lift? A lash lift is basically a perm for your lashes. It enhances your natural lashes by lifting them, making them look longer. Once the tint is applied, it gives the illusion of wearing mascara.
Lash lift is a great treatment for someone who wants a low maintenance and effortless look as it lasts 6-8 weeks.
Lash Extensions
Lash extensions are false lashes that are glued to your natural lashes to give a fuller, longer, curlier look. However, they are more high maintenance than a lash lift as infills are required every 2-3 weeks. Lash extensions grow and fall out with your natural lashes so after a few weeks you will end up with gaps where the lash extension has come out and a new lash has grown. When you go for your infill appointment, it is that new lash that gets a false lash on it.
The great thing about lash extensions is that there is a variety of different styles to suit everyone. From natural classic lashes to dramatic Russians.
-
Classic
Classic lashes are the most natural looking out of lash extensions. They are created by applying one individual fake lash to one of your natural lashes. For example, if you only had 50 natural lashes then only 50 classic lashes would be able to be applied. Classics come in all different lengths and curl sizes so no set has to look the same.
-
Volume
Volume lashes give a fuller look by using fan lashes. Fan lashes are a group of lashes put onto one individual natural lash. For example, To create volume lashes you would put 3 classic lashes, in the shape of a fan, on one natural lash. So when all the lashes are on, the fan lashes overlap each other giving a more fuller look.

Russian
Russian lashes use the same fan method as volume lashes however they are a lot finer so more can be applied. Russian lashes are a more dramatic style of extensions and create a more fake look. However, since there are so many more lashes being applied, they can last longer than classic lashes as the gaps aren't as obvious.
Strip Lashes
Strip lashes are the best alternative for those who don't have many natural lashes/ only want them for one occasion. Strip lashes come in a wider variety of styles and can be applied by yourself as and when you wish using a temporary lash adhesive.
Strip lashes can be used multiple times too so are a lot cheaper than lash extensions.
